Doodling and beyond...

My path to illustration work started with random doodling in high school, usually during math class.  I found it quite easy to draw what I saw in front of me and played with that ability. Although I never followed the path of art education (nor mathematics, much to the relief of my teacher) I would find myself in various night school classes just to see what I was capable of. This led to discovering pen and ink and eventually water colour pencils. Today, much of my commissioned work involves both these mediums. I tend to focus on nature as a subject but am always keen to stretch my boundaries. My work has appeared in a number of guidebooks and natural history/interpretive brochures and signs throughout British Columbia.
