Chris Tunnoch

Welcome!

I’m an “unplanned" artist whose creative journey has been anything but ordinary. Though I come from a family of gifted painters, I never set out to pursue art as a career. Instead, my passion for the outdoors led me into the fields of environment and recreation, with art always finding its way into my life—sometimes as “a bit of drawing on the side.”

Nature is my greatest inspiration. Living and working in British Columbia, Canada, I am constantly surrounded by the landscapes and wildlife that shape my work. My journey began with a focus on ink and watercolour illustration. Over the years, my drawings have appeared in publications such as the Stein Valley Wilderness Guidebook and Attracting Backyard Wildlife, as well as in numerous natural history booklets and interpretive signs throughout parks in BC.

My transition into painting was a happy accident—sparked by a fascinating conversation with a psychic! Since then, I’ve embraced the brush and become an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and a signature member of Artists for Conservation.

Through my art, I hope to inspire others to appreciate and protect the natural world as much as I do.

Thank you for visiting and sharing in my creative journey...
